I am a Year 7 student at Edmund Hillary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Graeme. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
I’m Daniel from the SLJ Blog commenting team. I’m looking forward to seeing all your amazing blog posts and I hope you’re enjoying your summer.
Your art is really expressive. I like what you’ve done with the patterns and the background colour you’ve chosen.
This task asked you to make an art piece that represents summer. To me it looks like it could be a heart, maybe meaning love around this time with family or maybe Christmas lights around the sides. What do you think it represents?
Good start Nese, (make sure to read the tasks carefully aye). See you later in the comments.
Kia ora Nese I love how you have used rotation and reflection symmetry to create your design. It reminds me of a kÅwhaiwhai pattern. Koru can represent new life which makes me think of the new year (2021!) that will begin this summer. What does it make you think of?
