SLJ: Giuseppe Arcimboldo

Fakalofa Lahi Atu Everybody, This task was about making something using Vege and Fruit to create something of your own or something else. What I chose was a fish because I love under sea stuff and thing like coral and many sea animals. By the side is just SLJ because this whole thing that they have make for children in the holidays is awesome and you get to learn new things too.

  1. Mōrena Nese,

I must say when I saw your fruit inspired art, I immediately thought how cool would that look on a tea towel or beach towel? Or beach bag even?!

Great work, it shows that you had fun with this activity and the most important part was that you brought what you love (the sea) into the activity, and made it authentic and personal to you.

I wanted to ask what 3 facts did you learn about Giuseppe Arcimboldo? Anything unique and interesting? I know from reading that while some see Giuseppe’s paintings as a bit funny, he took nature (specifically in this case fruit and veggies) very seriously, and wanted to treat the food with honour.

Looking forward to hearing what you found out!

Keep up the creative, unique work!

    Mā te wā,
    Benjamin.

I hope you have had a nice week so far.

    Thank you for your reply.

I wonder if he used the seasonal fruits in those paintings called Summer and Autumn.

Anyway, great work. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

    Mā te wā,

    Benjamin.
